Momo app icon: a white bunny on orange

A photo from a friend, right on your Home Screen.

Momo sends a photo straight to a card on your friend's Home Screen. No feed. No followers. No scrolling. Just the friends you actually care about, showing up on your phone.

In private testing on iPhone. Not on the App Store yet.

How it works

  1. 1. Add your friends.

Find them by their exact username. They have to say yes. Nobody can send you anything until you've both agreed.

  2. 2. Take a photo.

Snap one, or pick one from your album. Add words, stickers or a drawing if you want.

  3. 3. Send it.

To one friend, or to a small group.

  4. 4. It lands on their Home Screen.

They see it without opening anything. Want to reply? Send a photo back.

Your Momo card

Add a Momo card to your Home Screen with Apple's Add Widget. Tap the right side of the card to flip between friends, groups and your own cards. A new photo from a friend jumps to the front.

Made to disappear

Photos clear after 24 hours, or sooner if someone sends a new one. Each friend or group has one photo at a time, the newest. There's no history, no albums to scroll, nothing piling up. Photos you make can save to your own camera roll, and you can turn that off.

What Momo doesn't have

  • A feed.
  • Followers.
  • Likes or hearts.
  • Public profiles.
  • Ads.
  • Group admins.

Your own cards

Momo isn't only for friends' photos. Make cards just for you: your own pictures, countdowns to the days you care about, the moon, your stars, a daily line, a verse. These can go on your Lock Screen too. Friends' photos never do, so nobody's face shows up on a locked phone.

Groups

A group is two or more friends, and everyone's equal. Anyone can invite, rename it or change its picture. Invite codes last a week.

Safety

Block anyone. If you block someone in a group, you're hidden from each other and everyone else stays. Report any photo and it leaves your screen. You have to be 13 or older, and we check your birthday at sign-up. You can delete your account inside the app any time.

Questions

What does it work on?

iPhone, on iOS 18 or newer.

How fast do photos land?

On iOS 26 or newer, often within seconds. Your iPhone decides when cards refresh, so sometimes it takes longer. On older iOS, expect longer. Opening Momo always gets you the latest.

Can strangers find me?

Only if they type your exact username, and they still can't send you anything unless you accept. There's no list to browse. Strangers see your initials, not your face.

Can I get it now?

Not yet. Momo is in private testing.
